DEPARTED THE SHOW FEELING: transported to another planet. And I wanted to stay there.

Plain and simple. The LA based Active Child took me to another level that I had not reached in a long, long time. I’ve been a fan of the debut album, but I knew this could easily go one of two ways live. AMAZING or standing there thinking “what did I just pay to see??” Well luckily, it was one of the most mind blowing experiences I have had this year. The songs are translated incredibly well for the live experience. As cliché as this sounds, it really is hard to describe. The set lasted over an hour of pure, ethereal bliss. How does that voice come out of a 6 foot plus, redheaded, skinny ass dude?!!! That is the most mind-blowing thing about it. Needless to say, I was in church last night. And for the first time in my life I’m thinking I might want to be religious… in a non-judmental, egotistical, conservative, fanatical, homophobic, well, religious sort of way. Did that make any sense to you? Great, cause it doesn’t even make sense to me.

All I know is that I want more!!!!!!
